With the arrival of Storm Isha, the Kirroughtree Cross 2024 was a true Hillybilly mud-fest. Perfect conditions for a winter cyclo-cross race day 84 riders from ages 5 and upwards competed in different kids and adult categories including a taster race for those trying it for the first time.

The aim of the Kirroughtree Cross is to be diverse and inclusive, and it proved to be just that with beginners racing alongside Scottish Champion Lewis Martin. The SW Cyclo-Cross series inspires youngsters to enter and have a go with those who are returning and competing for the series win.
