Cross @ Kirroughtree
With the arrival of Storm Isha, the Kirroughtree Cross was a true Hillbilly mud-fest, perfect conditions for a winter cyclo-cross race day. 84 riders from ages 5 and upwards competed in different kids and adult categories, including a taster race for those trying it for the first time.
The aim of Kirroughtree Cross is to be diverse and inclusive, and it proved to be just that with beginners racing alongside Scottish Champion Lewis Martin. The SW Cyclo-Cross series inspires youngsters to enter and have a go.
Kirroughtree Cross is a Galloway Hillbilly Bike Club and Scottish Cycling partnership, and part of the SW Winter Series.
